Nominaciones a los premios de la IFMCA

Ya se conocen las nominaciones para los premios de la Asociación Internacional de Críticos de Música de Cine (IFMCA), de la que formamos parte algunos miembros de BSOSpirit. En esta undécima edición los compositores que acaparan más candidaturas son James Newton Howard y Alexandre Desplat., con 7 y 6, respectivamente. Los dos están nominados al premio como Mejor Compositor del 2014 junto con Marco Beltrami, John Powell y Hans Zimmer.

Naturalmente, los dos también tienen trabajos candidatos a Mejor Score Cinematográfico del Año. Las cinco bandas sonoras seleccionadas a este premio son The Grand Budapest Hotel (Alexandre Desplat), How to Train Your Dragon 2 (John Powell), Interstellar (Hans Zimmer), Maleficent (James Newton Howard) y The Monkey King (Christopher Young).

En cuanto a nuestros compositores, en la lista figura Roque Baños, que opta al premio de Mejor Score de Comedia por Cantinflas; Zacarías M. de la Riva, candidato a Mejor Score de Fantasía/Ciencia-Ficción/Terror por Autómata; Federico Jusid, nominado a Mejor Score de Televisión por Isabel; Óscar Araujo, que opta a Mejor Score de Videojuego por Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2; y José María Benítez como responsable de Quartet Records, que opta a Compañía Discográfica del Año.
