La International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA), de los que formamos parte algunos miembros de BSOSpirit, acaba de hacer públicas las nominaciones a sus premios, a los que optan las mejores bandas sonoras del 2015. Dos enormes veteranos como John Williams y Ennio Morricone, el fallecido James Horner, el ya bien aposentado en Hollwyood Michael Giacchino y el casi recién llegado Daniel Pemberton forman el quinteto de aspirantes a Compositor del Año.
En cuanto a los candidatas a Mejor Score, compiten Star Wars: The Force Awakens (John Williams), The Hateful Eight (Ennio Morricone), Wolf Totem (James Horner), Jupiter Ascending (Michael Giacchino) y Cinderella (Patrick Doyle).
La representación española se reduce este año a las nominaciones de Fernando Velázquez por Crimson Peak, en la categoría de fantasía/ciencia-ficción/terror y por su disco Concert Suites / Music for Films en la categoría de regrabaciones; Federico Jusid por Carlos, Rey Emperador, en la categoría televisiva, y Diego Navarro por Atrapa la bandera, en animación y compositor revelación.
