Estimados compositores y aficionados,
Antes de nada, queremos extender nuestro más sincero agradecimiento por la implicación, ilusión y pasión que todos y cada uno de vosotros, aquellos que formáis parte de los premios de este año, habéis depositado con cada una de las obras que nos habéis remitido.
Llegados a esta edición, nada más y nada menos que con 13 años de existencia, con todos los trabajos y participantes que han optado a estos prestigiosos premios, con toda esa ilusión acumulada que aporta cada nueva edición, nos hemos visto en la necesidad de dar nosotros también un salto de calidad en clara respuesta a la responsabilidad que tenemos de cara a todos los participantes, los premios y, por supuesto, la familia del mítico compositor que da nombre a estos premios: Jerry Goldsmith.
Son muchos años desde BSOSpirit/Film Music Festival, los que nos han ayudado a tener amigos de los de verdad. De aquellos que te ayudan a evolucionar y llegar allí donde nunca pensarías llegar.
Esto ha sido un camino realizado no solo por nosotros, sino por todos aquellos que han apoyado los premios. Aquellos que han dado cobijo a los mismos con sus ciudades o festivales. Desde Úbeda, Córdoba y Málaga. Lugares que alojaron los premios en el seno de Festivales que nosotros, desde Bsospirit/Film Music Festival, organizamos o ayudamos en su desarrollo desde una posición activa y comprometida.
Y por eso queremos dar las gracias a todos aquellos que habéis dando ese indispensable soporte y difusión a estos premios. GRACIAS.
Hoy nos encontramos en un momento dulce, donde poder dar un nuevo paso decisivo para nuestros premios. Un paso que implica dotar de una actividad única y especifica a los Jerry Goldsmith Awards.
Un evento que, respondiendo a su naturaleza internacional, tendrá su nacimiento allí donde las fronteras geográficas se difuminan. Somos de romper muros más que de levantarlos. De construir puentes. De valorar el talento en todo el mundo. Literalmente.
Este año hemos tenido la participación de compositores de 23 nacionalidades distintas. España, Francia, Chile, Italia, Brasil, Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, México, Alemania, Holanda, Bulgaria, Japón, Guatemala, Suiza, Turquía, Polonia, Dinamarca, Emiratos Árabes, Finlandia, China, Cánada, Chipre, Grecia, Colombia, Irlanda, Noruega, Australia, Lituania y Portugal. Sin duda alguna, los Jerry Goldsmith Awards son los premios a la música para el medio audiovisual más internacionales del mundo. Como decimos, para nuestros premios el talento no tiene barreras.
Así pues, respondiendo a ese carácter internacional del evento, el Jerry Goldsmith Awards Festival tendrán dos sedes. Si, has leído bien, dos.
Una en España, en una ciudad que desvelaremos en las próximas semanas (estamos valorando varias opciones) y otra en Los Ángeles.
Si, has leído bien, en Los Ángeles, Hollywood, la industria del cine, el lugar donde nacen los sueños, el lugar donde nació y vivió uno de los compositores más grandes que dio la historia del cine: Jerry Goldsmith.
¿Y cómo será el proceso? Fácil. Apunta si eres nominado en la actual edición (aunque ya te contactaremos personalmente para definir detalles contigo).
Primera Fase:
Sede: España -ciudad a anunciar en breve- .
Fecha: Primeros días de noviembre (fecha concreta que coincidirá con el anuncio de la sede en España).
Desarrollo: Una entrega de premios que tendrá lugar en la ciudad española escogida por Film Music Festival y donde se decidirán los ganadores de cada una de las ocho categorías de las que componen los premios.
Segunda Fase:
Sede: Los Ángeles – Los Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
Fecha: 14 de noviembre.
Desarrollo: Durante el desarrollo de la gala de entrega de premios de los Hollywood Music in Media Awards, se entregará el Golden Jerry Goldsmith Award. El galardón de galardones, elegido entre los 8 ganadores seleccionados en España en la primera fase del Festival Jerry Goldsmith Awards.
Aun nos reservamos alguna que otra sorpresa, pero queríamos aprovechar el anuncio de todos nuestros nominados a esta XIII edición de los Jerry Goldsmith Awards, para adelantaros este nuevo horizonte que se abre para nuestros premios.

First of all, we want to extend our sincere thanks for the involvement, enthusiasm and passion that each and every one of you, those who are part of this year’s awards, have given us with each of the works that you have sent.
Come to this edition, after 13 years of existence, with all the works and participants who have opted for these prestigious awards, with all that accumulated illusion that brings each new edition, we have seen also the need to, ourselves, make a quality leap in clear response to the responsibility we have for all participants, awards and, of course, the family of the legendary composer who gives name to these: Jerry Goldsmith.
Many years have passed since BSOSpirit / Film Music Festival, helped us to have real friends. The kind of friends that help you to evolve and get there where you would never think could be able to arrive.
This has been a journey made not only by us, but by all those who have supported the awards. Those who have given shelter to them with their cities or festivals. From Úbeda, Córdoba and Málaga. Places that hosted the awards within Festivals that we, from BSOSspirit / Film Music Festival, organize or help in their development from an active and committed position.
And for that, we want to thank all those who have given their indispensable support and prestige to these awards. THANK YOU.
Today we are in a sweet moment, one where we can take a new decisive step for our awards. A step that implies providing a unique and specific activity to the Jerry Goldsmith Awards.
An event that, responding to its international nature, will be born where geographical borders are blurred. We are breaking walls rather than create them. To build bridges. To value talent throughout the world. Literally.
This year we had the participation of composers from 23 different nationalities. Without a doubt, the Jerry Goldsmith Awards are the most international music awards for the world’s audiovisual media. As we say for our awards: talent has no barriers.
So, responding to that international character of the event, the Jerry Goldsmith Awards Festival will have two venues. Yes, you read correctly, two.
One in Spain, in a city that we will unveil in the coming weeks (we are evaluating several options) and a second one in Los Angeles.
Yes, you have read well, in Los Angeles, Hollywood, the film industry, the place where dreams are born, the place where one of the greatest composers that gave the history of cinema was born and lived: Jerry Goldsmith.
And how will the process be? Easy. Write down if you are nominated in the current edition (although we will contact you personally to define details with you).
First stage:
Main venue: Spain – city to announce shortly.
Date: First days of November (concrete date that will coincide with the announcement of the venue in Spain).
Structure: An awards ceremony that will take place in the Spanish city chosen by the Film Music Festival and where the winners of each of the eight categories of the awards will be unveiled.
Second stage:
Main venue: Los Angeles – The Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
Date: November 14.
Structure: During the development of the awards ceremony of the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, the Golden Jerry Goldsmith Award will be presented. Main award, chosen among the 8 winners presented in Spain during the first phase of the Jerry Goldsmith Awards Festival.
We still reserve some surprises, but we wanted to take advantage of the announcement of all our nominees to this 13th edition of the Jerry Goldsmith Awards, to advance this new horizon that opens for our awards.
