La Asociación Internacional de Críticos de Música de Cine (IFMCA) acaba de anunciar sus premios anuales, correspondientes a películas, series de televisión y videojuegos estrenados en 2020.

Puede resultar una gran sorpresa que el Mejor Score Cinematográfico del año haya sido The Personal History of David Copperfield, de Christopher Willis, un trabajo que habrá pasado desapercibido para muchos aficionados, sobre todo por la limitada trascendencia de la película, pero podemos asegurar que se trata de una banda sonora brillante que no dudamos en recomendar.

El score de Willis, de quien muchos recordarán su magnífico trabajo para The Death of Stalin, competía en esa categoría con The Call of the Wild (John Powell), Enola Holmes (Daniel Pemberton), Fukushima 50 (Tarō Iwashiro) y Wonder Woman (Hans Zimmer). Como podéis comprobar, nada que ver con las nominaciones a los Oscar.

Destacamos también el premio para Daniel Pemberton como Mejor Compositor del Año y, de manera especial, el galardón para Quartet Records como Mejor Sello Discográfico, el primero que obtiene en estos premios la compañía de José María Benítez.
